ISSUE: Section 36-86, Window, Rear--Defroster, of 1989 and prior Car Shop Manuals, has been revised to include new service information on heated backlite grid repair. The statement which now reads: "Any break in the grid longer than 25 mm (1 inch) cannot be repaired." should be revised to read: "A single break or any breaks that total more than 25 mm (1 inch) in one grid cannot be repaired."
