Service Procedure

1. Thoroughly wash the bumper with soap and warm water.

WARNING:
WEAR RESPIRATORY PROTECTION AND PROTECTIVE CLOTHING WHENEVER POTENTIALLY HAZARDOUS MATERIALS OR CONDITIONS EXIST IN THE SHOP.

2. Remove the zinc styrate mold release agent by washing the bumper with a commercial soap product containing Trisodium Phosphate or use an alcohol-based cleaner.

3. Lightly scuff the part with a Scotchbrite(R) pad or 600 grit sandpaper.

4. Wipe bumper clean with a pre-cleaner, then wipe with tack cloth.








5. Refer to Figures 1 and 2 for Ford approved product usage.

6. Mix and spray one (1) full wet coat of adhesion promoter primer. Follow recommended flash time.

7. Mix and spray one (1) full wet coat of primer surfacer/sealer. Follow recommended flash time.

8. Mix and spray basecoat material to hiding. Follow recommended flash time.

9. Mix and spray two (2) full wet coats of clearcoat material. Follow recommended flash time.
