ISSUE: Electrical components may be damaged if an improper method of diagnosing an electrical system concern is used. Voltage applied to certain terminals (to check continuity) may cause damage to the electrical components.

ACTION: When diagnosing an electrical system concern, the following items should be noted.

^ Use an ohmmeter to check continuity.

^ NEVER apply voltage to any wire lead (except when specifically directed in a diagnostic procedure).
