A1 - Pressure Test

^ Pressure test cooling system for dirty or damaged radiator cap, external leakage and/or internal leakage. System Pressure Test

^ Does the system pass the pressure test?

YES -- Return vehicle to customer.

NO -- Check for a dirty or damaged radiator cap? -- Clean or replace cap. Repeat A1.

NO -- Is there an external leak? -- Repair or replace as necessary. Repeat A1.

NO -- Is there an internal leak? -- Disassemble engine as necessary to determine cause of leakage. Check for:
- cracked intake manifold
- blown head gasket
- warped block or head gasket surfaces
- cracked cylinder head(s)
- cracked cylinder block
Repair or replace as necessary. Repeat A1.
