CODES FROM MEMORY - SHOP MANUAL REVISION


FORD: 1988 FESTIVA

ISSUE: Service codes 01, 09, 13, 15, 17 and 70, must be erased from the memory of the EFCS processor after servicing the vehicle. This information was not printed in the Festiva Shop Manual, page 29-01C-7.

ACTION: To erase these service codes, the negative terminal of the battery must be disconnected for five (5) seconds.

NOTE: Other service codes are not stored in permanent memory and are present only when engine is running.
