Ignition Switch: Service and Repair

1. Remove upper and lower steering column trim covers.
2. Disengage switch harness from retaining clip, then remove retaining screw and ignition switch from lock housing.
3. To install switch, proceed as follows:
a. Push ignition switch into lock housing bore until switch tang engages lock cylinder. If necessary, turn lock cylinder with ignition key until switch tang aligns with switch slot.
b. Install switch retaining screw, position wire harness as necessary, then close harness retaining clip.
c. Reinstall upper and lower trim covers.
