Compressor




1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Discharge refrigerant from system.
3. Disconnect wire connector from clutch field coil connector.
4. Disconnect refrigerant lines from compressor manifolds and cap all open lines.
5. Remove hex head screw attaching compressor adjusting arm to mounting bracket.

6. Remove four front and rear braces to mounting bracket support attaching screws. Then remove compressor, with front and rear braces attached, from vehicle, Fig. 29.


7. Remove front and rear braces from compressor.
8. Reverse procedure to install. Use new O-rings lubricated with refrigerant oil.
9. Leak test, evacuate and charge system. Check system for proper operation.
