Ford Motor Company is providing a no-charge Service Program, Number B95 to owners of certain 1988/89/90 F-Series Super Duty Trucks with 7.5L EFI Engines.
REASON FOR Your truck is equipped with an Electronic
THIS PROGRAM Engine Control (EEC) Processor that may
retard engine ignition timing more than it should under certain conditions.
Drivers may notice a reduction in engine power primarily during hot weather when the engine is under load.
NO COST SERVICE At no charge to you, your dealer will install
a new engine control processor and where required, a new high flow thermostat.
HOW LONG WILL The time needed for this service is about
IT TAKE? two hours. However, due to service scheduling
times, your dealer may need your truck for one full working day.
CALL YOUR DEALER Call your dealer promptly for a service
appointment. This service is available through September 1991. Ask for a service date and if parts are in stock.
If your dealer does not have the parts in stock, they can be ordered before scheduling your service date. Parts would be expected to arrive within a week.
When you bring your truck in, give the dealer this letter.
If you misplace this letter, your dealer will still do the work, free of charge.
REFUNDS If you paid to have this service done before
the receipt of this letter, Ford is offering a refund. Refunds are available through September 1991. For the refund, please show your paid work-order to your Ford dealer.
