ISSUE: Poor AM radio band reception under viaducts, static and limited reception range may sometimes occur. This is caused by electrical interference emitted by the heated windshield charging system. The heated windshield feature does not have to be ON to experience this condition.

ACTION: Install a radio noise suppression capacitor assembly (F0DZ-18841-A) in series with the heated windshield power feed lines, Figures 1-4. Refer to the following procedure for service details.
1. Disconnect the heated windshield power feed line connector, Figures 1-4.
2. Connect a suppression capacitor (F0DZ-18841-A) in series with the heated windshield power feed line.
3. Ground the suppression capacitor as shown in Figures 1-4.
