About the Quick Tests

The Quick Test procedure should be used ONLY when the anti-lock warning light illuminates during normal driving or when brake lockup occurs on one or more wheels.
Any time a repair is made, clear memory; connect check connector terminal wires "GN/BK" and "GN/R" with a jumper wire. Turn the ignition on. Check that the ABS warning light is illuminated, and wait 1 to 2 seconds. Turn the ignition switch off. Disconnect the jumper wire. Start the engine and wait for the ABS warning light to go off. Turn the ignition switch off. Then Quick Test Steps 3.0 - 5.0 should be repeated to ensure that the repair was effective. Correct results of Quick Test are dependent on the operation of related non-electronic components.
