Compressor

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Discharge refrigerant from system.
3. Disconnect compressor clutch wires from field coil connector on compressor.
4. Disconnect discharge and suction hoses from compressor manifolds.
5. Cap refrigerant lines and compressor manifolds to prevent contamination, then remove compressor drive belt.
6. Remove attaching nut from compressor at upper compressor mounting bracket, then remove upper through bolt from compressor.
7. Remove lower through bolt from compressor at chassis-to-compressor mounting bracket.
8. Remove compressor, front compressor mounting bracket and rear mounting bracket as one assembly.
7. Reverse procedure to install.
