The vane airflow meter Fig. 15, is mounted between the air cleaner and throttle body and measures air volume flowing into the engine. The meter contains a movable vane directly connected to a potentiometer. The potentiometer relays vane position information to the electronic control assembly. The ECA can then translate vane position information into the volume of air flowing into the engine.
