Test 12, Pickup Coil Resistance Check (Non-Turbo)

1. Disconnect distributor cap, then remove rotor.
2. Using a suitable volt-ohmmeter, check pickup coil resistance. Resistance should read 900-1200 ohms.
3. If resistance reading is satisfactory, proceed to Test 15.
4. If resistance reading is not satisfactory, replace pickup coil.
