At 7,500 mile intervals, a Service Check message will be displayed under the System Scanner nomenclature on the instrument cluster for three minutes after engine start, Fig. 7. After performing the required interval service, reset the service interval by depressing and holding the Service reset button, located on the speed alarm keyboard, until three tones have sounded, Fig. 8.

Vehicle Maintenance Monitor

Vehicle Maintenance Monitor:

On models with Vehicle Maintenance Monitor, at 7,500 mile intervals a Service lamp, located on the overhead map lamp console, will be illuminated for 3 minutes after engine start, Fig. 9. After performing the required interval service, reset the service interval. On models with speed alarm keypad, depress and hold the Service reset button, until three tones have sounded. On models less speed alarm keypad, locate reset hole in overhead console, then using a suitable tool depress the reset button located behind the hole.
