Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes

After repairing a failure:
1. Initiate the Key On Engine Off (KOEO) Self-Test.
- Unlatch the push button on the SUPER STAR II Tester as soon as the first service code is received.
2. Turn OFF the ignition switch.
3. DISCONNECT the NEGATIVE battery cable.
4. DEPRESS the brake pedal for 5-10 seconds to erase the memory of a malfunction code.
5. Rerun Self-Test to verify service codes have been erased.
