Quick Test 3.0A - Key On Engine Off Self-Test

NOTE: The Self-Test Automatic Readout (STAR) Tester will display service codes and the Volt Ohm Meter (VOM) needle will pulse across the dial face representing service codes.

If NO CODES are indicated on STAR Tester or VOM, and the Manual Shift Light FLASHED during Quick Test Step 1.0, then proceed to Diagnostic Charts-Pinpoint Test PPQ. If the Manual Shift Light DID NOT FLASH, proceed to Quick Test Step 5.0, Switch Monitor.

To Perform the Key On Engine Off Test:
1. Verify that the vehicle has been properly prepared per Quick Test Steps 1.0 and 2.0.
2. Place ignition key in the ON position.
3. Note codes indicated by STAR Tester or VOM.
4. If the Manual Shift Light FLASHED during Quick Test Step 1.0, use the troubleshooting guide, Quick Test Step 3.0B.
5. If the Manual Shift Light DID NOT FLASH during Quick Test Step 1.0, proceed to Quick Test Step 4.0.
