Speed Will Not Set In System

1. Ensure proper operation and adjustment of throttle linkage. If satisfactory, proceed to step 2. If not satisfactory, adjust or replace as necessary.
2. Ensure proper operation of control switch and circuits. If satisfactory, proceed to step 3. If not satisfactory, service or replace as necessary.
3. Ensure proper operation of vacuum dump valve. On manual transmission models, if satisfactory, proceed to step 4. On automatic transmission models, if satisfactory, proceed to step 5. If not satisfactory, service or replace as necessary.
4. Ensure proper operation of clutch deactivator switch (manual transmission only). If satisfactory, proceed to step 5. If not satisfactory, service or replace as necessary.
5. Ensure proper operation of stop lamp switch. If satisfactory, proceed to step 6. If not satisfactory, replace switch.
6. Ensure proper operation of servo. If satisfactory, proceed to step 7. If not satisfactory, replace servo.
7. Ensure proper operation of speed sensor. If satisfactory, proceed to step 8. If not satisfactory, replace sensor.
8. Ensure proper operation of amplifier. If satisfactory, proceed to step 9. If not satisfactory, replace amplifier.
9. Examine all connectors to ensure proper contacts.
