Fuel Pressure Release: Service and Repair

1. Ensure ignition is in OFF position.
2. Disconnect battery ground cable and position aside.
3. Remove fuel filler cap.
4. Using EFI pressure gauge tool No. T80L-9974-B or equivalent, relieve pressure at fuel pressure relief valve, located on the fuel line in the upper right corner of then engine compartment.

NOTE: On vehicles equipped with Electronic Engine Control, when the battery has been disconnected and reconnected, some abnormal drive symptoms may occur while the EEC processor relearns its adaptive strategy. The vehicle may have to be driven 10 miles or more to relearn that strategy.
