Wiggle Test - Engine Off

The wiggle test allows the technician to attempt to re-create an intermittent fault.

Key On - Engine Off Wiggle Test Procedure

1. Connect STAR tester

2. Turn key to ON position

3. Run self-test

4. Wait until self test is complete and the codes have been displayed. Then stop and start self-test. (Wait until the codes have been diaplayed or continuous memofy will be erased)

5. You are now in the wiggle test mode. Tap, move, and wiggle the suspect sensor and/or wire harness. When a fault is detected it will be indicated as follows:

- STAR tester: Continuous tone.

- "Check Engine" light: Lights
