REMOVAL
1. Remove extension housing.
2. Remove two attaching bolts from park rod guide plate.
3. Remove parking pawl, return spring, and pin from case.

Removing Parking Pawl Abutment:

4. Remove Torx head bolt and parking pawl abutment.

INSTALLATION
1. Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
a. Ensure return spring end rests on inside surface of case.
b. Torque Torx head bolt to 16-20 ft lbs.
c. Ensure plate dimple is facing inward.
d. Torque park rod guide plate attaching bolts to 16-20 ft lbs.
