ISSUE: The front and rear Ford oval emblems may show signs of moisture inside the emblem or exhibit chrome peel. This usually occurs after exposure to severe weather conditions. It is caused by poor sealing of the emblem material.

ACTION: Install a new front or rear Ford Oval emblem as required. Refer to TSB 88-10-4 for the service replacement procedure of the adhesive-backed front emblem. The rear emblem is a pop in and out nameplate with plastic tabs on each end.
