Blower Motor: Service and Repair

Standard
1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Remove air cleaner and/or air inlet duct, if necessary.
3. Disconnect electrical connector and ventilation tube from blower motor.

5. Remove blower motor mounting plate attaching screws, position ventilation tube aside and remove blower motor from housing, Fig. 27.
6. Reverse procedure to install, using new gasket and sealer as required.

Auxiliary Heater
1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Remove first seat behind driver, if equipped.
3. Remove service panel and three screws from solenoid bracket.
4. Disconnect electrical connector and ventilation tube from blower motor.

5. Remove blower motor mounting plate attaching screws, then separate blower motor and wheel assembly from housing, Fig. 28.
6. Remove wheel assembly from motor shaft, then separate blower motor from mounting plate.
7. Reverse procedure to install, using new flange seal as required.
