Flow Of Diagnosis:

1. Get an accurate description of complaint. Road test vehicle to verify. Perform underhood inspection. For further information use the DRIVEABILITY WORKSHEET and VEHICLE REPAIR HISTORY located under INFO TYPE/TECHNICAL-MANAGEMENT SUPPORT.
2. Check TSB'S for manual updates, testing procedures, warranty and recall information.
3. Refer to Powertrain Management/Computers and Control Systems/Testing and Inspection/Procedures/Quick Tests and Diagnostic Aids/Testing Notes for the routine that matches your symptom.
NOTE: The STAR tester or an equivalent scan tool is required for proper diagnosis and testing of the vehicle.
