Automatic Hub

1. Raise the vehicle and install safety stands.

Outer Locknut, Lockwasher And Inner Locknut:






2. Remove the hub lock assembly.

3. Remove the outer locknut with spanner locknut wrench. Remove the lockwasher.

4. Using spanner locknut wrench, tighten the inner locknut to 68 Nm (50 lb ft) to seat the bearing.

5. Back off the inner locknut and retighten to 41-54 Nm (31-39 lb ft).

6. While rotating the hub, back off the locknut 90 degrees.

7. Install the lockwasher so the key is positioned in the spindle groove. Rotate the inner locknut so the pin is aligned into the nearest lockwasher hole.

8. Install the outer locknut and tighten to 217-278 Nm (160-205 lb ft) using spanner locknut wrench.

9. Check the final end play of the spindle, it should be 0.00-0.11mm (0.000-0.004 in).

10. Install the hub lock assembly.

11. Remove the safety stands. Lower the vehicle.
