^ DRIVESHAFT - WHISTLE TYPE WINDNOISE AT 60-63 MPH (97-101 KM/H) - SUPER CAB, 155 INCH W.B. WITH 5.OL AND AOD TRANSMISSON


LIGHT TRUCK: 1991 F-150


ISSUE: A wind-whistle type noise may occur at 60-63 mph (97-101 km/h). This is caused by a vibration in the transmission being transmitted to the front half of the two-piece driveshaft assembly. The concern occurs only in the overdrive gear range.

ACTION: Replace the existing driveshaft with a new two-piece "lined" driveshaft assembly. Refer to the 1991 F-Series Light Truck Shop Manual, Section 05-01, for service details.


NOTE: THE CONCERN OCCURS ONLY IN THE OVERDRIVE GEAR RANGE.
