Throttle Position Sensor: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the air duct from the throttle body if necessary.
3. Disconnect the electrical connector at the throttle body.
4. Carefully bend back the TPS wire retaining brackets and remove the wire.
5. Remove the two attaching screws.
6. Pull the sensor from the throttle body.

Throttle Position (TP) Sensor Removal:

INSTALLATION
1. Place the TP sensor into its mounting position.
2. Install the TP sensor mounting screws.
3. Install the wire into the retaining bracket and carefully bend them around the wires.
4. Adjust the TP sensor.
5. Connect the TP sensor electrical connector.
6. Connect the negative battery cable.
