Shift Linkage: Adjustments
MANUAL LINKAGE ADJUSTManual Control Linkage Adjustment:
1. Position selector lever in the Overdrive position against rearward stop. Shift lever should be held in the rearward position while linkage is being adjusted.
2. Loosen manual lever to control cable attaching nut.
3. Place transaxle manual lever in the Overdrive position, second detent from most rearward position, then torque cable attaching nut to 10-15 ft lbs on 1988-1990 models or 11-19 ft lbs on 1991 models.
4. Check operation of transaxle in each selector lever position. Ensure park and neutral start switch operate satisfactorily.
