LIGHT TRUCK:
1992-93 ECONOLINE, F-150-350 SERIES, F-47

ISSUE:
The knob on the heater and A/C control may fracture during normal operation. This could occur because the knob may be too weak for the application.

ACTION:
Install a new, improved control knob if knob replacement is required. Refer to the following procedure for service details.

1. Remove all grease from the switch shaft with a clean, dry cloth.

2. Install the new, stronger control knob (F3TZ-18519-A).

3. Verify that the control knob operates properly.
