Front Wiper System

The Wiper/Washer Switch contains a momentary Washer Switch and a Wiper Switch that operates in either OFF, LOW or HIGH position.

Washer Operation

Current flows from the RADIO fuse to energize the coil of the ACCY Relay, closing its contacts. When the Washer Switch is pressed, current from the WIPER fuse (20A) flows through the ACCY relay and Washer Switch to activate the Washer Pump.

Wiper Operation

With the Wiper Switch in the LOW or HIGH position, voltage is applied to the common terminal of the Front Wiper Motor. With the Wiper Switch in the LOW position, a ground path is supplied to the (L) terminal of the Wiper Motor. The wipers will operate at LOW speed. With the Wiper Switch in the HIGH position, a ground path is supplied to the (H) terminal of the Wiper Motor. The wipers will operate at HIGH speed.
