Exploded View Of Warner T-18 4 Speed Transmission:

z��=Exploded View Of Shift Control Housing:

1. Remove gear shift housing from transmission, then the parking brake drum. With the transmission locked in two gears, remove U-joint flange and oil seal.
2. Remove speedometer driven gear and bearing assembly.
3. Remove output shaft bearing retainer and speedometer drive gear and spacer, then remove output bearing retainer studs from case.
4. Remove output shaft bearing snap ring, then using suitable tool remove bearing.
5. Remove countershaft and idler shaft retainer and power take off cover.
6. Remove input shaft bearing snap ring and bearing.
7. Remove oil baffle.
8. Remove roll pin from reverse gear shifter arm shaft, then remove shaft from shifter and lift shifter from case.
9. Remove output shaft and gear assembly from case.
10. Using a suitable dummy shaft, drive countershaft out from of transmission. Keep dummy shaft in contact with countershaft to avoid dropping rollers.
11. Remove input shaft and synchronizer blocking ring, then using a suitable puller remove idler shaft.
12. Remove idler gear and countershaft gear, use care not to lose rollers.
