Control Arm: Service and Repair

1. Raise and support vehicle, then remove front wheels.
2. Remove lower ball joint pinch bolt.
3. Remove stabilizer control link to lower control arm retaining nut.
4. Separate ball joint stud from steering knuckle.
5. Remove two lower control arm bushing retaining bolts.
6. Remove lower control arm from vehicle.
7. Position new control arm against vehicle underbody.
8. Install lower control arm rear bushing bolt. Torque retaining bolt to 69-96 ft lb.
9. Install lower control arm front bushing bolt. Torque retaining bolt to 58-78 ft lb.
10. Install ball joint stud into steering knuckle.
11. Install ball joint pinch bolt. Torque bolt to 25-42 ft lb.
12. Install stabilizer control link to lower control arm nut. Torque retaining nut to 27-40 ft lb.
13. Install front wheels, then torque wheel lug nuts to 65-87 ft lb.
