Cold start stalls may occur on M/T, and cold engagement stalls may occur on A/T, once per warm-up cycle, due to calibration sensitivity to available fuels.

ACTION:
Perform normal diagnostic procedures. Refer to the 1993 Powertrain Control/Emissions Diagnosis Service Manual (PC/ED) for procedures. If a problem still exists, replace the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) with a revised PCM which will enrich the system during crank, underspeed, start-up open loop and A/T engagement modes. Refer to the the Vehicle Application Chart And Parts Block for correct part application.

Obtain an Authorized Modifications Decal and list the date, dealer number, and summary of alterations performed. Select a prominent place adjacent to the Vehicle Emission Control Information Decal suitable for installing the Authorized Modifications Decal. Clean the area, install the decal, and cover it with a clear plastic decal shield.
