Headlamp Switch: Service and Repair

REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION
1. Insert suitable screwdriver to headlamp switch knob slot, then depress clip and remove knob from shaft.
2. On models equipped with autolamp, pull autolamp control knob from headlamp switch.
3. Remove three steering column cover screws.
4. Pull steering column cover rearward to disengage four clips.
5. Remove center finish panel screws located below ashtray.
6. Pull center finish panel rearward to disengage five clips. Allow finish panel to hang to access cluster finish panel screw access.
7. Pull left finish panel rearward to disengage four clips.
8. Remove five cluster finish panel screws, then pull panel rearward to disengage two clips.

9. Remove headlamp switch bracket screws.
10. Pull bracket and switch assembly through opening, then disconnect switch electrical connectors.
11. Pull headlamp shaft to full On position, then depress shaft release button while pulling shaft out.
12. Reverse procedure to install.
