Test Notes
Rapid Continuous Flashing - All Crash Sensors Disconnected
Normal Operation
Each sensor has two wires. One wire is used for air bag deployment and monitoring the sensor's connection to the air bag diagnostic monitor (see code 41 diagnosis for details). The other wire is used for monitoring the mounting (ground) of the sensor to sheet metal (see codes 44 and 45 diagnosis for details). If the code 41 diagnosis reveals the sensors are not connected AND if the code 44 and 45 diagnosis reveals that sensors are not properly grounded, then the air bag diagnostic monitor will flash the air bag indicator continuously at a fast rate.
Possible Causes
Rapid continuous flashing of the air bag indicator can be caused by:
1. Both the center air bag sensor and bracket and RH cowl side panel air bag sensor are disconnected from the wiring harness or main wiring is not connected with engine control sensor wiring.
