B10 - Connect Exhaust Back Pressure Tester Kit
NOTE: Refer to Following Figures.Exhaust Backpressure Tester:

^ Locate and remove the HO2S from the catalyst inlet pipe and disconnect the electrical connector.
NOTE: The HO2S electrical connector is disconnected to avoid excessively rich air/fuel mixture during testing.
^ Insert the threaded adapter fitting into the HO2S boss in the catalyst inlet pipe.
^ Connect the high temperature silicone hose to the fitting and to the exhaust back pressure test control block.
^ Disconnect the vacuum line from the thermactor bypass valve and plug the vacuum line.
^ Connect the back pressure test control block to the input jacks of the DVOM. Be sure the negative (common) jack of the control block is plugged into the negative (common) jack of the DVOM.
^ Set the DVOM on a fixed DC millivolt range and not the autorange mode.
NOTE: The DV0M must be capable of reading one tenth (0.1) of a millivolt DC, e.g., 99.9 millivolts.
^ Connect the exhaust back pressure tester power lead to the cigar plug receptacle.
^ Adjust the exhaust back pressure control knob to read zero on the DVOM.
^ Have all parts of the exhaust back pressure tester been properly installed?
YES -- Go to B11. B11 - Check Exhaust Back Pressure Voltage Reading On the DVOM
NO -- Complete the installation steps before continuing.
