Distributor Cap: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
1. Loosen the distributor cap hold down screws.
2. Lift the cap straight up to avoid damage to the distributor rotor blade and spring.

INSTALLATION
1. Position the distributor cap over the distributor, aligning the position of the attaching screws with the screw holes on the distributor.
2. Tighten the hold down screws to 18-23 lb-in.
3. Reinstall any ignition wires that were removed, noting their correct locations on the distributor cap.
