Diagnostic Connectors Rear ABS System



NOTE: There are TWO diagnostic test connectors in this system. Ford uses varying terminology for these connectors but you can identify them by connector number and by location.

- The first test connector is the black RABS Diagnostic Test Connector C159. This primary test connector is used to retrieve and clear codes.

RABS System Components:






RABS Data Link Connector C159 is located in the cab and clipped on the main instrument panel wiring harness about three inches below and to the right of the Anitlock Electronic Control Module (on the right side of the Instrument Panel).

- The second test connector is the Differential Speed Sensor (DSS) Data Link Connector (DLC) C143. This connector is used only when instructed to by a procedure in a pinpoint test.

Component Locations:






The Differential Speed Sensor (DSS) Data Link Connector (DLC) C143 is located on the left hand side of the engine compartment (left wheel well) on a bracket (location in image is typical but does vary a bit depending on which engine the vehicle has.
