HV15 - Wiggle Test Solenoid and Harness



- Key Off.

- Disconnect PCM. Inspect for damaged or pushed out pins, corrosion, loose wires, etc. Service as necessary.

- Install breakout box, leave PCM disconnected.

- Measure the resistance between Test Pin 67 (CANP SIG) while performing the following:
- Lightly tap on the CANP solenoid, and observe a resistance change.
- Wiggle the CANP solenoid connector and vehicle harness between the solenoid and the PCM, and observe a resistance change.

- Does the resistance reading change to below 30 ohms or above 90 ohms?

YES -- Isolate fault and service as necessary. Reconnect all components. Complete PCM reset to clear DTCs. Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes

Rerun quick test. Diagnostic Subroutines (DSR) - Extracting Codes

NO -- Unable to duplicate and/or identify fault at this time. Go to pinpoint test step Z1 with the resistance readings and a list of possible causes. Z1 - Intermittent Test Procedure
