HV2 - Check Carbon Canister

NOTE: Fuel saturation of carbon canister cannot be effectively checked by the canister weight or intensity of odor or smell. Vehicle must run over an extended period of time to purge fuel (or vapor) build-up in carbon canister.

- Check for cracks or other damage to carbon canister.

- Is the canister cracked or damaged?

YES -- REPLACE carbon canister(s).

NO -- Carbon canister is not contaminated. Go to HV3. HV3 - Check Vacuum Fuel Tank to Canister
