Power Steering Pressure Switch: Description and Operation

PURPOSE
The Power Steering Pressure (PSP) switch, used to send a signal to the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) to adjust idle speed, compensating for additional load on the engine.

OPERATION
Normally "CLOSED" switch "OPENS" as pressure increases.
