Assembly

Lubricate The Parts Shown:





1. Lubricate the parts shown with Disc Brake Caliper Slide Grease D7AZ-19590-A (ESA-M1C172-A) or equivalent or brake fluid DOT-3.
2. Install the new caliper sleeve and brake caliper bolt dust boot.
3. Install a new rear brake operating lever boot.
4. Install the rear brake operating lever. Align the marks made during removal.
5. Install the rear wheel brake caliper spring.

Rear Disc Brake Caliper:





6. Install a new piston seal.
7. Install the brake connecting link.
8. Install a new O-ring.
9. Install the rear disc brake adjuster spindle.
10. Install the snap ring.

Brake Adjuster Screw:





11. Install the rear disc brake caliper piston into the rear disc brake caliper bore and turn the brake adjuster screw COUNTERCLOCKWISE with an Allen wrench to pull the rear disc brake caliper piston inward. Turn the brake adjuster screw until it STOPS.
12. Install the screw plug.
13. Install a new dust cover.
14. Install the bleeder screw and brake adjusting hole cover.
15. Install the rear disc brake caliper. Refer to Brake Caliper: Service and Repair.
16. Fill the brake master cylinder with the DOT-3 brake fluid. Bleed the brake system. Refer to Brake Bleeding.
