M1 - System Failed to Recognize Brief WOT

NOTE: A brief snap of the throttle may not be sufficient to pass this test. Be sure to go to Wide Open Throttle (WOT) and return.

- Rerun Engine Running Self-Test. Key ON Engine Running (KOER) Self-Test

Be sure operator is familiar with the engine running format which proceeds as follows:

- Activate Engine Running Self-Test.

- Start engine.

- ID Code start of test.

- Dynamic Response code 1 (0); perform brief WOT.

- Testing over.

- Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) output begins.

- Is DTC 77 or 538 still present?

Yes -- Go to M2. M2 - Did Engine Achieve Greater Than 2000 RPM

No -- Dynamic Response Test passed. Return to Diagnostic Routines to continue diagnosis. Symptom Related Diagnostic Procedures
