EVAP 1 - Check Carbon Canister

NOTE: Fuel saturation of carbon canister cannot be checked effectively by the canister weight or intensity of odor or smell. Vehicle must run over an extended period of time to purge fuel (or vapor) buildup in carbon canister(s).

^ Check for cracks or other damage to carbon canister.

^ Is the canister(s) cracked or damaged?

YES -- Replace carbon canister.

NO -- Go to EVAP 2. EVAP 2 - Vacuum Test Fuel System
