Operation CHARM: Car repair manuals for everyone.
Manuals through 2025 now available!

Our trusted friends have launched a new website named LEMON, which has newer manuals. It also contains all the CHARM manuals.

LEMON is the spiritual successor to CHARM, I recommend you try it!

Caliper Assembly:

1. Remove wheel and tire assembly from rotor mounting face.

CAUTION: Use care to avoid damage or interference with bleeder screw fitting during removal.

2. If the caliper is to be removed for service, disconnect the brake hose from the caliper and plug hose.
3. Remove two rear brake pin retainers.
4. Lift caliper off rotor using rotating motion.

CAUTION: Do not pry directly against metal piston, or damage to piston will occur.

5. If brake hose was not removed, secure the caliper with wire.

CAUTION: Do not let the caliper hang with its weight on the brake hose.
