Brake On/Off Switch

PURPOSE
The brake on/off switch sends a signal to the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) to disengage the torque converter clutch when the brake pedal is depressed. This signal may be ignored by the PCM if the throttle position signal is above closed throttle.

It also deactivates the speed control system when the brake pedal is depressed, and signals the anti-lock brake system module that a braking condition is about to occur.
