Balance Shaft: Service and Repair

1. Remove engine from vehicle.
2. Remove timing cover, chain, and gears.

3. Remove balance shaft thrust plate, then remove balance shaft ensuring not to damage bearings.
4. Reverse procedure to install, lubricating balance shaft bearing journals with suitable lubricant.
