Blower Override Switch: Description and Operation

Temperature Control Lockout Valve And Switch:

TEMPERATURE CONTROL LOCKOUT VALVE AND SWITCH
^ Its function is to prevent A/C blower motor operation when heating is required and the engine coolant temperature is below 120° F.
^ When the engine coolant temperature exceeds 120° Fthe temperature control lockout valve and switch opens, turning the heater blower motor on when heating is required.
^ The temperature control lockout valve and switch will not prevent A/C blower motor operation when cooling or defrost is required.
^ The temperature control lockout valve and switch is located in the heater water hose.
