DB6 - Check EGRT Circuit For Shorts to Power

- Key "OFF".

- Disconnect EGR Temperature (EGRT) sensor.

- Key "ON", engine "OFF".

- Measure voltage between EGRT circuit at the EGRT sensor vehicle harness connector and the battery negative post.

- Is voltage less than 1.0 volt?

Yes -- Go to DB7. DB7 - Induce Opposite Code

No -- Service short circuit. Reconnect all components. Rerun quick test. Quick Test Appendix (Detailed Testing Instructions)
