DH94 - Monitor TP Circuit Under Simulated Road Shock

Sensor Wiring Schematic:

- Enter Continuous Monitor Diagnostic Test Mode (DTM). Continuous Monitor Diagnostic Test Mode (Wiggle Test)

- Connect Analog Volt/Ohm Meter (VOM) or STAR LED to Self Test Output (STO).

- Observe VOM or STAR LED for indication of a fault while performing the following:

- Move throttle slowly to Wide Open Throttle (WOT) position.

- Release throttle slowly to closed position.

- Lightly tap on Throttle Position (TP) sensor (simulate road shock)

- Wiggle TP harness connector

- Is a fault indicated?

Yes -- Key "OFF". Inspect connectors. If connectors and terminals are good, replace TP sensor. Clear continuous memory. Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes

Rerun quick test. Quick Test Appendix (Detailed Testing Instructions)

No -- Go to DH95. DH95 - Check EEC Vehicle Harness
