FF7 - Check PSPS Circuits For Shorts

- Key "OFF".

- Power Steering Pressure (PSP) switch disconnected.

- Disconnect Powertrain Control Module (PCM). Inspect for damaged or pushed out pins, corrosion or loose wires, etc. Service as necessary.

- Install breakout box, leave PCM disconnected.

- Measure resistance between test pin 28 and test pin 46 at the breakout box and chassis ground.

- Is either resistance 10,000 ohms or less?

Yes -- Service short circuit. Remove breakout box. Reconnect all components. Rerun quick test. Quick Test Appendix (Detailed Testing Instructions)

No -- Replace PCM. Remove breakout box. Reconnect all components. Rerun quick test. Quick Test Appendix (Detailed Testing Instructions)
